Accessible and Affordable Childcare

  • 20 Weeks Fully Paid Family Leave so parents can care for newborns without risking their livelihood.

  • Expanded federal childcare subsidies for more low- and middle-income families.

  • Cap childcare costs at no more than 7% of household income.

  • Invest in childcare centers - especially in rural communities and “childcare deserts.”

  • Streamline licensing and reduce administrative barriers while maintaining safety.

  • Strengthen the Child and Dependent Care Tax Credit and make it fully refundable.

  • Encourage employer-provided childcare through tax incentives.

  • Expand nontraditional-hour childcare for families working nights and weekends.

  • Support home-based providers with resources, training, and grants.

Healthcare for Families

  • Supporting and improving the Affordable Care Act subsidies and legislation.

  • Increase investments in training new physicians to alleviate physician shortages.

  • Support rural clinics and protect rural hospitals from closure.

  • Ensure reproductive healthcare and comprehensive women’s health services remain accessible.

  • Promote transparency and lower drug prices through investing in innovative financial software tools and negotiations with pharmaceutical companies.

Housing Stability and Family Safety

  • Provide assistance that helps low- and moderate-income households become, and stay, homeowners.

  • Expand federal housing vouchers and emergency housing programs.

  • Create trauma-informed transitional housing with counseling, legal assistance, and job support for survivors of violence or trafficking.

  • Promote “clean slate” housing rules that allow survivors and formerly incarcerated people to rebuild without being punished for past hardships.

K to 12 and Early Education

  • Fully fund Special Education to support the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.

  • Increase teacher salaries and expand loan forgiveness for educators.

  • Strengthen Title I, Pell Grants, literacy programs, after-school learning, and early childhood initiatives.

  • Provide universal school meals requiring student participation in school-agriculture partnerships.

  • Support trades pathways, apprenticeships, and Career and Technical Education programs so students can access high-demand careers.
